Live-In Nanny Needed – $130,000 salary + Maserati

A job listing offering a salary of $130,000 per year went viral due to the qualifications list and benefits.  You must have 15 years of childcare experience, a degree in child psychology and trained in self-defense to apply for this live-in nanny job. The job entails minding 4 kids (age 2 to 15), a 6-day work week and travel frequently between homes in London, Barbados, Cape Town and Atlanta.  “Required to travel internationally up to three times a week” is also included in the description.  Other perks include meals cooked by a Michelin star chef, access to multiple luxury cars, including a Porsche, Range Rover and a Maserati to run errands.  This job sounds heavenly, except for that pesky kids part.

3000 Naked Bike Riders

Philadelphia is planning its 9th Annual Naked Bike Ride.  Organizers of the Philly Naked Bike Ride say the event will take place throughout the city’s streets Sept. 9.  About 3,000 naked bike riders will participate.  Ride organizers say participants can go as bare as they dare. Last year some riders wore nothing at all or sported body paint while others wore only their underwear.  The ride actually has a purpose.  It is to protest against dependence on fossil fuels, advocate for the safety of cyclists and promote a positive body image.  We think they just want to get naked.

Lost Ring Returned 47-years Later

A college class ring lost in the surf at a Massachusetts beach nearly half a century ago has been found and returned.  Patrick O’Hagan lost the ring while on his honeymoon in 1970.  James Wirth was scanning a Dennis beach last month with a metal detector when he found the corroded ring. O’Hagan’s full name was inscribed on the ring.  Wirth returned the ring to O’Hagan at his Long Island, New York, home earlier this month.
