The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA (http://www.nhra.com/melloyello)) has long been known for producing the fastest four seconds in motorsports. Traversing a quarter-mile in the blink of an eye, NHRA funny-cars leave clouds of smoke in their wake before blasting down drag strips at speeds approaching 350 miles per hour.
But if the roar of a 10,000 horsepower engine, and the smell of smoldering rubber doesn’t get your gears turning…maybe this will:
As a governing body with 60,000 members, the NHRA presents a huge business opportunity to First Data that extends far beyond the race track. And thanks to the work of one of First Data’s
most-valued partners, the largest motorsports sanctioning body in the world will soon be routing new business to First Data.
Chosen Payments (https://chosenpayments.com/), one of First Data’s thirdparty Partners based out of California, signed the NHRA to a two-year agreement that will bring the NHRA and many of its member institutions firmly into the First Data fold.
“The NHRA processes tens of millions of dollars in transactions each year through dues, at race tracks, and at events across the U.S. and Canada. And the association itself has tens of thousands of small business owners as members,” said Jeff Brodsly, President and CEO of Chosen Payments. “This was a great win all around, and for our team at Chosen Payments it shows the power of partnering with a company like First Data.”
In conjunction with the agreement, Brodsly said the NHRA will be using Clover Mobile to engage with millions of fans at race tracks across North America – as well as at the world-famous NHRA Museum in Pomona, California.
As a sanctioning body the NHRA oversees thousands of motorsports events each year, most notably the NHRA Championship Drag Racing Series – which includes Top Fuel Dragster, Funny Car, Pro Stock, Pro Stock Motorcycle and Pro Modified. “Signing the NHRA is a great win brought to us with the help of one of First Data’s great partners,” said Kevin Sisk, senior vice president of Partner Solutions. “Jeff and his team at Chosen Payments are one of our most valued Partners, they have been a Chairman’s Council winner at First Data six times, and they do tremendous work
expanding First Data’s brand, products, and solutions into new markets.”
